Revision: Compare and order fractions less than 1 (worksheet and answers)

Watch today's lesson about comparing and ordering fractions. This lesson is a recap on how to compare and order fractions, use this help sheet to support you. Click here for an additional worksheet on revising how to compare and order fractions with the answers here (no peeping!).

Writing - Talk for writing booklet

Take the time to catch up with any part of the booklet, you haven't completed so far or re-read the information on page 2 and 3.

Then, have a go at Activity 7 - Spot the underlying pattern and complete page 11 with any ideas for paragraphs of your own. Write down an idea for your next paragraph and then in the boxes, include all of the details you could mention in your own writing later on.

Read Chapter Two of your book.

Use these slides to support you with ordering and comparing

Lesson 3: Compare and order fractions less than one (worksheet and answers)

This worksheet will be completed over two days - you will only complete the first half today. Watch the video to support you with the first part of the worksheet. Today you will be comparing fractions that are less than one. Remember that < means less than > means greater than and = means equal to. Here is an extra worksheet to practise comparing fractions; choose either the 1, 2 or 3 star sheet. The answers are in the same document .

After reading Chapter Two in yesterday's lesson, have a go at the activities on page 9 and 10 of your booklet. Use Chapter Two to help you.

Re-read these slides then watch Lesson 3: Compare and order fractions less than one (worksheet and answers)

Today you will be focusing on completing the remainder of the worksheet and focusing on ordering fractions less than one. Remember, when you order fractions, find the equivalent fraction first using multiple knowledge (see the slides for a help sheet!). For more of a challenge, try ordering these fractions.

Today you will need to apply your learning from Tuesday and Wednesday to compare fractions greater than 1. You will only be completing the first half of the worksheet. If you are finding comparing and ordering fractions difficult, go back to the previous lessons on comparing fractions less than 1 before moving on to this.

This lesson continues on from yesterday to complete the remainder of the worksheet. Again, if you are finding comparing fractions difficult, go back and retry lessons from earlier in the week

Friday Five- Assess your understanding of this week's learning by completing the Friday Five. If you found any of these tricky, perhaps go back to that lesson and work through the online video again. Alternatively, you can complete this through Google Classroom.
