Autumn Term

Unfortunately, due to confirmed Covid-19 cases, Year 3 are currently learning at home for the rest of the week. Please see below for today's learning activities. We are happy for your child to complete the learning at times that suit you and them.

Sadly, we won't be able to go ahead with our Stone Age Day at school today but we would still like you to experience life in the Stone Age at home!

Wednesday 25th November

History

Complete the lesson 'What was life like in the Neolithic settlement?' by Mr Hutchinson. Start off by testing your knowledge by completeing the Stone Age quiz. Next, listen to the video to develop your knowledge about Neolithic settlements.

You may want to complete some Stone Age art work by creating some Stone Age Jewellery and Stone Age Cave Paintings. To make this even more realistic for the Stone Age era, you may want to create a cave under your kitchen table or under your bed!

You may also want to become a gatherer and hunter where you could explore your garden for important, useful items which could be used for cooking, hunting, tools and campfires.

With your family, you may want to carry out some role-play, as if you were Stone Age people living in Skara Brae.

We were planning on baking flat bread and preparing a Stone Age breakfast today, so if you do have any of the ingredients at home, follow the links to create some Stone Age food. If you do not have the ingredients, you could role-play in the garden!
