Something a little different today! Yesterday was the Scottish Celebration 'Burns Night' (25th January). Follow the link and read through the slides to learn about why Burns Night is celebrated. Then, we would love for you to take part in The Great Riddings Bake Off! Have a go at following this recipe for shortbread and enjoy something traditionally Scottish. Please send in photographs of your creations via either Twitter or to info@riddings-jun.derbyshire.sch.uk.

Can you visualise what Norman's friendship Scout badge would look like? Draw it in the circle then write how you think Norman feels now he has achieved it underneath. Then, draw a Scout badge to award Lucy with and give it a name. Could it be for her bravery? Her heroic behaviour? Her achievements in bringing the grown-ups back and confronting the Creakers? A top-recycler badge? You decide!

Imagine you are a Creaker and you now have all this rubbish, what would you do with it? Create a map of your very own strange world of waste! I would have a house made from milk bottles with banana peel rugs and a crisp packet blanket... sounds delightful!
Extra project - could you make your world of waste in real life using rubbish you have re-used and recycled? We would love to see pictures on Twitter!

We have finally finished The Creakers, what did you think? Fill in a book review and let us know what you thought of it. There are two versions so you can pick which one you would like to complete.

Extra home project:
The Creakers love to re-use and recycle our rubbish. Design a poster encouraging people to recycle their waste. You include the following things:
- Why is it important to recycle?
- What happens if we don't?
- Facts about recycling
Make it bold and eye-catching so people will stop and read your poster!

Plants Post-Assessment
Like we would do in school, please have a go at completing the post-assessment for plants. Answers should be written into your book or onto a piece of paper. Remember this should be done independently so no help to be given.
