Monday 1st February

Maths

Today you will be dividing with remainders. Please watch the taught video on White Rose Hub 'Divide with remainders'. There is no worksheet today, however there are questions throughout the video for you to answer in your orange book or on paper. You will need counters or small objects for grouping- if you do not have any you could make your own counters out of paper.

Numbots - Spend 10/15 minutes practising your number skills.

New writing unit - 'The Man on the Moon'

For the next two weeks, you are going to explore the short animation, 'The Man on the Moon'. You are going to use the clip to create a fantastic piece of narrative writing. Day by day, you will practise your writing skills to then produce a final, finished piece of writing. We can't wait to see and hear all about your writing!

Watch the assembly from Place2Be, BAFTA Kids and Oak National Academy for                          Children's Mental Health Week 2021, celebrating this year's theme of “Express Yourself”.  

Join Blue Peter’s Lindsey Russell and CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson alongside other well-known faces for an assembly that brings together the nation's children together with a positive message about the power of creative self-expression.

Friday Five - Assess your understanding of the week's learning by completing these 5 questions. If you found an area of this week's learning tricky, perhaps go back to that lesson and work through the video again.

This is the end of our Multiplication and Division unit - hooray! Please complete the post-assessment and send this back (scanned or a picture) to info@riddings-jun.derbyshire.sch.uk so that we can then offer feedback on your child's learning. Try to complete this independently just as we would in school. Good luck!
