Hola y bienvenido

para termino de Primavero 2017

(Hello and welcome to Spring term 2017)

This year we will be learning Spanish as our modern foreign language.

Summer Term 2017

This term starts with the major focus of ensuring the children are fully prepared for the Statutory National Curriculum Assessments (aka SATs). These are timetabled for the week beginning 8th May 2017. Parents will be invited to a meeting shortly before.

In Science we will be covering the topics of 'Living Things and Habitats' and 'Evolution & Inheritance'.

This term, we will be looking at prejudice and persecution within History.

This covers part of the History curriculum, PHSE and British Values. The topic looks to engage children with an understanding of the wider world, whilst also covering the local context.

Y6's will also be focusing upon performing in the annual Year 6 Production which this year is 'The Pirates of the Curry Bean' and they will be honing their singing and acting skills in preparation for this.  They will be performing this on the 18th / 19th July - afternoon and evening performances.

The focus for our Art will be looking at why, and how, artists represent people and animals in weird and wonderful ways.

In Design & Technology we are producing masks

In PE, we will continue to developing our core strength and fitness through OzBox.

Another busy term ahead : )
