Richards Class - Miss Pilling
Welcome back after the Easter break!
Over the summer term, we will be learning about The Great British Seaside and why it is a popular holiday for many people. Have a look at your homework grid below for lots of choices for extra 'seaside-themed' learning and the curriculum newsletter will tell you everything you need to know about the coming term. There's lots to look forward to!
Happy New year!
Thank you for all of your hard work over the last term Year 3. We have seen great progress and improvements since September and we would like this to continue through January. What could your New Year's resolution be to improve further?
This term we will be learning about Chocolate, the Aztecs and the Mayans as well as learning about persuasive leaflets and stories from other cultures - so a busy term ahead for Year 3!
We will also be visiting Cadbury World after February Half Term so that's something to look forward to!
Although we haven't got a homework grid properly until the Spring term, there are three activities you could have a go at all linked to our topic on the Stone Age:
1. Tell a story through cave painting pictures.
2. Write a story of a child who goes back in time to live in the Stone Age.
3. Write a menu for a day's meal in the Stone Age. What could they hunt and gather?
Welcome to Year 3!
Hopefully you've had a good summer holiday and are ready to make a good start to our school. On this page you will find plenty of information about our topics and what we have planned for the term.
This half term we will be learning about the Stone Age in History and Rocks in Science. We will be having a go at cave paintings in Art and reading lots of stories in English.
