Hola y bienvenido

para termino de Primavero 2017

(Hello and welcome to Spring term 2017)

This year we will be learning Spanish as our modern foreign language.

Spring 2018

This term has a major focus of ensuring the children are fully prepared for the Statutory National Curriculum Assessments (aka SATs). These are timetabled for the week beginning 14th May 2018. Parents will be invited to a meeting shortly before.

In Science we will be covering the topics of 'Have we always looked like this?' and 'Why do we live where we live?'

This term, we will be looking at prejudice and persecution within History.

This covers part of the History curriculum, PHSE and British Values. The topic looks to engage children with an understanding of the wider world, whilst also covering the local context.

Y6's participation in the annual Young Voices Choir will take place on 15th January (photographs will be be available in the gallery). The focus for our Art will be looking at why, and how, artists represent people and animals in weird and wonderful ways.

In Design & Technology we plan to produce wonderful bread creations. We also hope to create some wonderful recipes for your delight.

In PE, we will continue to developing our core strength and fitness through our partnership with Amber Valley Sports Partnership.

Another busy term ahead : )
